The challenge this week at Daring Cardmakers is the monthly flower series, and the flowers for June are Rose and Honeysuckle.
Like most people, I didn't have anything with honeysuckle in my stash, so decided to go with roses. I recently downloaded these lovely flowerpot images from Scrap n Fonts, so decided to use three of them as my main image. They are coloured in with promarkers, then I layered them up to give a 3d effect and added some glamour dust to the flowers. I didn't think that was enough roses so I also added some crepe roses - these were made using the sizzix 3-d die. Using crepe paper is a bit of a tricky operation as it's so fragile, but worth the effort I think.
The backing paper is from the free papers that came with this months Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine - I thought they were perfect for this theme.
Everyone on the design team made some really wonderful cards this week, so pop over to the Daring Cardmakers blog for a look :)

Love all the layers you've used here Sharon and that is a very sweet image. You already know I love your gorgeous crepe paper roses - I'm going to have a go at making some. I only have white crepe paper though!
