Well how exciting – this week is my first time for setting the dare over at The Daring Cardmakers. I decided to set the challenge of using buttons on your cards – but it’s not that simple, I want the buttons to form part of the main design of the card, not just be added onto a corner as an embellishment. The inspiration for this is the Papertrey button stamp sets I have – they have a few different sets available, and there is part of the image missing where you put a button. Since I’ve used my set a lot recently, I didn’t want to repeat myself (or make life too easy for myself!!), so I decided to draw a stalk and leaves and insert buttons for cherries.
The papers are from Pink Petticoat and the flower is made from scalloped circles of tissue paper scrunched up and attached with a brad.
I can’t wait to see what ideas you all come up with for my dare, and don’t forget to check out the amazing cards that the DT have created this week

This card looks yummy Sharon! Lovely colours, it reminds me of baking cherry pie!
