DCM - August Flowers, Poppy or Gladioli

 It's the first challenge of the month over at Daring Cardmakers so it's the flowers for August for this weeks challenge.  As I used cherries on last week's card I thought I'd avoid poppies so I could use some different pastel colours.  Now, I do have blonde hair, so please give me the benefit of the doubt!  I didn't look too closely and thought these were gladioli - well they are nice tall stems and quite similar, but of course gladioli have long spikey leaves that are taller than the flowers.  Anyway, let's just say this card is 'inspired' by gladioli so it still fits the challenge as I don't have time to make another!!

Tatty Button cards

 

I just got some Tatty Button stamps as I thought they’d be ideal for little girl’s cards.  My niece Lola will be 9 in a couple of weeks, and Ella will be 5.  As they are both blonde, I coloured Tatty’s hair blonde – I find it easier to colour hair in darker colours as I think the shading works better, but I’m actually quite pleased with the way these have come out.  As you can see, I added a little rub-on number 5 to the brad on Ella’s card.
