It's Jo’s turn to set the challenge this week and she’s decided to dare us with the theme of Dr. Seuss:
I loved reading Dr. Seuss books when I was little and my children love them now so this week, I would like to see Dr. Seuss inspired cards - whether they feature Green Eggs and Ham, The inhabitants of Whoville, The Cat in the Hat or are inspired by the colours, font or rhyming phrases, it will be brilliant to see what you make!
I have to admit, this one stumped me for quite a while. I’m not that familiar with the Dr Seuss books, and in terms of characters only really knew the Grinch and The Cat in the Hat. I spent ages looking at the Dr Seuss website and google images before inspiration hit. My nephew Toby is going to be 2 in a few weeks time, so I decided to make a card for him. I cut some strips of red card to make the background, then found this lovely Cat in the Hat image (it’s actually a picture of a Dr Seuss plate!), then I downloaded a Dr Seuss font to personalise it. I think Toby will love the bright colours:

This is fab Sharon, I love that you made your own striped paper, its a perfect match with the hat. I'm sure your nephew will love his birthday card.
