Here are a couple of cards I was commissioned to make – a thank you card and a card for baby twin girls.
This first card uses my new Papertrey bloom builder die – I’ve cut the layers from a lovely handmade paper in dusky pink which goes lovely with the kraft card and pearls. I bought some seam binding at Ally Pally and decided to die some of it with tea to give a bit more of a vintage feel and I’m really pleased with the results. (if you fancy trying this all you need to do is make a big jug of tea – one tea bag is enough, then put some of the ribbon in and stir it around. Leave it for half an hour or so, then squeeze the ribbon out and put it on some kitchen towel to dry – don’t lie it out flat, leave it scrunched up as this makes a nicer effect). As you can see, it’s a lovely colour.
