I was asked to make a 40th birthday card this week for a guy that likes rugby and space. Hmm a tricky one. After much googling of vintage rugby posters to no avail, my fab DCM teamie Zuzana found me some fantastic vintage space printables which were just perfect!
I printed off some Pink Petticoat papers from the vintage star range, and matched the blue to the one on the space paper. I love these vintage star papers, they’re very like some of the Cath Kidston patterns I love and just ideal for this masculine vintage feel. I cut the numbers out with a Fiskars template then added some glossy accents to make them nice and glossy. I covered a chipboard button in the same paper then added a little tiny tag stamped in broken china.
Let’s hope he likes it!
I’ve been playing with some fabulous new images from Scrapbook Stamp Society so I’ll be back later to share some of those.
It’s been a lovely sunny but cold weekend in London, and we’ve had the best time. Yesterday we popped to the National Gallery for a wander (and to look at the same pictures that we always do!) My favourite is a Stubbs painting of a horse called Whistlejacket, and Andy loves to look at a set of two paintings by Edouard Vuillard. We both also love looking at the impressionist section – I never bore of looking at those fabulous Monet’s and Van Gough’s Sunflowers. It amazes me to stand in front of such famous and well known paintings. It’s funny, when I first met Andy he said he hated art galleries – now I usually have to drag him out or we’d be there forever – I’ve definitely converted him! After the gallery we went for a stroll past Downing Street and Big Ben, across the river and past the London Eye before hopping on the tube home. Last night we went for a Thai meal at a local restaurant. A perfect Saturday! And now I’m having a relaxing Sunday, just crafting. I’m so lucky :)

Fab cards Sharon-I love that valentines image-so cute and the mix of papers is great. You are so good t the promakers-I still struggle.
That sounds like a great day and something me and Callum would do-he loves the Portrait Gallery.
