Oh how I love living in London again. Living away for a few years has really made me see London in a new light and appreciate all it has to offer. It’s funny when you grow up somewhere you just take it for granted, and don’t even bother to go and see the sights, but now Andy and I are living apart during the week, we don’t want to waste any of our precious time together just sitting around so we have been cramming so much into our weekends.
This weekend was no exception, Andy met me straight from work on Friday and I had decided to take him somewhere he’d never been before. The building is just one of the most beautiful places in London in my opinion (but then I really do have a bit of a thing for art deco). Luckily we have similar tastes, and Andy was blown away too. This is where we went:

We sat just here, in the oyster bar, for the whole evening, and had the most amazing prawns to start with, then a whole crab between us, and a couple of bottles of crisp white wine. I wish I’d taken my camera, because the crab was the most beautiful thing, really, it was amazing. I think this might just be our new Friday night place.
We were up bright and early on Saturday, and headed straight off to the West End for breakfast, then for a wander around the National Gallery. This is also becoming a regular outing for us. This time we had a look at the Dutch section – the Rembrandts in particular, then a quick look at our favourite paintings in the impressionist section before heading off to Soho and a bit of shopping – a new book for Andy, a book about Blogging for me, and of course a quick visit to Cass Art for me to pick up a few pens. I’ve now got all the Promarker pens, but I was keen to try the new Flexmarkers, so I bought a couple to try, as well as a Tria marker as they were on sale. I’m now hooked, so will definitely be getting a few more to add to my ever growing collection of pens!
Today Andy has gone back home to play in a golf competition, so I’ve got the day to myself to catch up on my blog visiting, and some design team projects. It’s a lovely sunny day, so sitting at my desk in the window is the perfect Sunday. Hopefully I’ll be back later to share whatever I get done today x
