One of my plans for the New Year was to find a better way to keep on top of all my crafting commitments. I’m a massive list writer and I’m not the sort of person to leave things ‘till the last minute, so most of the time it’s not hard for me to keep to deadlines. However, because I’m working away from home during the week, I really need to make the most of my two days at home in my craft room, and where possible I need to make my projects as far ahead of the deadlines as I can.
After seeing lots of great reviews and YouTube videos on the Erin Condren planner, I decided to get one. In particular, I really liked Jennifer McGuire’s video and how she’d customised the ‘morning’, ‘afternoon’ and ‘evening’ headings to better suit her.
She used a stamp set to customise hers, and I did get that set, but I decided to create some printed labels for mine as the stamps didn’t quite give me the headings I wanted (I’ve added a link to the file I created at the bottom of this post). Here’s a photo showing how I’ve made a start with sticking labels over the printed headings:
I printed the labels onto an A4 label sheet, then used a steel ruler and craft knife to cut the strips, I then just snipped each label off the strip as I stuck it down.
The other thing I love about this planner is that you can customise the cover with your name and your own choice of colours.
