Kuretake Inktober

For the month of October, everyone at Kuretake is taking place in the annual Inktober celebrations.  There’s a theme for each day, with lots of prizes on offer for those joining in.   All the details of the themes can be found on the Kuretake UK Facebook page.

The theme for today is ‘Window’, so I decided to create a shaker window card with a nice Christmas theme.

I stamped the background with the Snowy Backdrop stamp set from Lawn Fawn and embossed it with white embossing powder so that it would resist the paint.  Then I created a pretty blue background using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours.   I stamped the village scene and trees from the Lawn Fawn Ready, Set Snow stamp set and coloured everything with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.   I added some clear Wink of Stella brush pen to the trees and the snowy slopes for some realistic snowy shimmer.

I put some shimmery clear sequins in the shaker to go with the snowy theme.
