Today I'm sharing a floral wreath I made using the Spellbinders Die D-Lites Flowers n Stems die set.
I bought a set of two MDF rings some time ago from Daisy's Jewels and Crafts, and this is a project I've been thinking of making for a while.
When I got the Flowers n Stems die set, I realised this was the time to give it a go! The flowers are just the right size to create a nice impact.
I started off by giving the MDF a coat of gesso, then I added a few little chipboard elements. I used the Prima Patina paint set to give the whole thing a rusty bronzed look.
For the flowers, I die cut them from some cream card that has a slight gold shimmer, then I shaped them a little, rubbed on some copper gilding polish then attached them to the MDF ring with a hot glue gun. I die cut the leaves from green card and tucked them underneath, then added some coffee coloured pearls to the flower centres.
