Cactus cards for boys

I think these little cactus dies are just perfect for making those difficult boy cards.   You can't really use flowers on a boy card, but you can use cactus, or should that be cacti, since I've made a few!

I used the Spellbinders Succulent Garden die set and the Spellbinders Chicken Wire embossing folder for the background.

I've got a lot of male friends with birthdays in August, so i made up a whole batch of these, some with a blue background some with green.  I added the sentiment in Platinum embossing powder on a black strip, then swiped some Prima Metallique wax in white gold over the raised areas of the embossing.  It gives a bit of interest without it being too glittery or shimmery for a boy.
