The Lumber embossing folder - it's still my absolute favourite ever. I honestly could use it on every card, I just love it!
I'm really pleased with how this card turned out. I used the Decor Frames Bigz die to cut that frame from mat board, the leaves are from the Geo Floral set, and that gorgeous Scribbly Butterfly is cut from Rose Gold Opulent card. I particularly like how that rose gold looks against the woodgrain, it really makes the warm colour just glow.
Next up is another Butterfly, this time I used the Doily embossing folder behind it to give a subtle background.
The next card is another favourite. I used the Decor Frames again, but this time cut them from kraft card and sandwiched some rainbow leaves in-between the layers to give a lovely rainbow. I teamed this with some rainbow patterned paper by Alpaca Pals by Tracey Hey.
Next up is quite a quick and simple card. I used the Botanical embossing folder and inked it up with Peacock Feathers Oxide ink before running it through on kraft card. Then I rubbed over some brass wax to highlight the raised areas. Before adding the butterfly I die cut a circle from vellum - this is a good tip when you have a really busy background. It stops the main die cut getting lost.
Last for today, is another butterfly. This time I added some antiquing cream to rose gold card to create a bit of patina affect on the Mechanics embossing folder.
