Sizzix Embossing folder shows on C&C next week

We had two beautiful Blue Tits visit our bird bath this week, so I decided to create a journal featuring a Blue Tit.   I used the Eileen Hull Pocket Notebook to create the journal, then covered it using my favourite Lumber embossing folder.   I used one of the birds from the Feathered Friends die set, along with both wreaths from the Funky Wreath set.  The leaves are from the Geo Floral set, and I added a little twig from the garden!  I die cut the bird from watercolour card so I could add the right colouring with watercolour paint.

I think my favourite Lumber embossing folder has a little competition.  I'm really loving this new Brickwork embossing folder too.

I really kept it simple and just added a little Oxide ink to it, to give a whitewash look.  The wreath is using the Funky Wreath set, and the flowers are from the Geo Floral set.  

For the next card, I wanted to give the brickwork folder the look of worn, cracked paint, so I mixed some aqua ink with Ranger Crackle paste to create that kind of look.  I added some flowers using the Bold Blossoms Bigz die.

One more for today - this is another favourite - the Geo Floral set.  I really love these delicate frames, and you'll notice I've used the leaves from this set on so many other cards.
